Q: How are you different from other businesses?
A: Unlike a kennel or dog day care, our service comes to you. We take over
when you can't be available to tend to your dog's basic needs: attention
and exercise. Tara's years of experience with dogs and passion for
her own pets, allow her to safely and positively provide this service
to you.
Q: Where will you walk my dog?
A: We will walk your dog in your neighbourhood so that he/she becomes accustomed
to noise, people, and traffic, then perhaps onto one of the nearby
parks, trails, or beaches for some variation and extra good smells!
A walk should be more than just running around in a park. Dogs can benefit from walking along streets and trails.
Q: What if my dog gets wet and dirty during a walk?
A: All dogs need daily exercise and most dogs don’t mind rainy weather.
Please always leave a towel at the door and we can clean them up after
the walk.
Q: How long is a group walk?
A: On a group walk, the dogs exercise for one hour. When the weather is
nice, we may walk for a little longer than one hour. If the weather is VERY
bad, we may shorten the walk a little.
Q: How long is a private walk?
A: Private walks are customized to the needs of you and your dog. In our
consultation, we will figure out a plan that works for both of you.
Q: Can you give my dog his/her medicine?
A: Yes, and at no additional charge.
Q: What are your hours and do you provide services on holidays?
A: Our services are available Monday through Friday but can also provide
private walks, let-outs, and visits on Saturdays and holidays by special
arrangement. On these days, there will be an additional fee. If we take a vacation, we will give you ample notice,
so you can make other arrangements.
Q: What if I have to cancel a walk?
A: We require 24 hour notice for cancellations. In order operate this service,
we must charge for cancellations of less than 24 hours notice.
Q: What if I have a cat? Do you visit them as well?
A: While my expertise is with dogs, I am happy to check in on cats, as well. This is more likely a service I would provide if you are leaving your home for a longer period of time.
Q: What if my property or pet is damaged while I am gone?
A: We are only liable for claims caused by our negligence or willful misconduct.
Due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, we cannot accept responsibility
for unusual mishaps (i.e., biting, furniture damage, etc.). Also, if
your pets have access to the outside (via doggie-door or other), we
are not responsible for injury, disappearance, or fines.
